Your Captain
Hello, I am Captain Phil. I hold a USCG license to operate passenger vessels carrying up to 6 passengers. I'm a Portsmouth native and have spent a lifetime on boats on the Seacoast and New England lakes while working a professional IT career.
I retired in June 2025 to pursue my dream of running a commercial lobster fishing and charter business. When not on the sea, I enjoy spending time cycling, hiking, and being with family and friends.
Your Vessel
Dorothy Grace is a 1999 26' Downeast lobster boat that was purchased in 2020. She is as clean as they get, and powered by a 230hp Yanmar turbo diesel engine. The hull is crafted from Kevlar with the wheel house and cabin being made from fiberglass.
Newly upgraded electronics include Furuno radar and depth sounder/fish finder, Sitex auto-pilot, TimeZero Professional Navigation, Furuno satellite compass, and Zipwake trim control.
The boat is equipped with all necessary safety devices, and is fully insured for commercial fishing, private charters and tours.
